The "Real-World Java Seminar" has been described as the best Java education
opportunity on the East Coast and it started on August 13 in New York City at
7.00AM and ended at about 8.00PM. The use of Java and related platforms for
advancing technology through software development featured lavishly under the
guidance of JBoss, etc. Code Gear from Borland, Nexaweb, Microsoft, etc. made
prominent presentations on their advancements, particularly paying attention
to interoperability of their technologies. As a participant in the seminar,
my observations represent only a perspective. The advantages of Java 6.0 over
previous versions were compared and highlighted, and a subsequent
presentation and demonstration by CodeGear extracted the utility of Java
